I’m Abhijeet K. Vadera, Lee Kong Chian Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources at Singapore Management University.

For a long time, I’ve been motivated by a simple goal: translating rigorous academic research into insights that leaders, managers, and practitioners can actually use. I’ve always wanted to create a kind of cheat sheet—and a space—where high-quality academic work is accessible, practical, and easy to digest.

Because I work in a business school, most of the writing here focuses on business and management issues. I teach negotiations to MBA students and executives, and ethics to undergraduate students, so many posts will draw from those areas and from the questions participants raise in the classroom. I’m also deeply interested in how AI is reshaping work and organizations, and I hope to translate emerging research in this space for a broader audience. From time to time, I may write about other topics as well—anything I find important, intriguing, or worth sharing.

I read widely and across disciplines, but my posts will appear sporadically. This is very much a side project alongside a full-time academic life of research, teaching, and service. If you’d like to be notified when new posts appear, I encourage you to sign up for alerts.

On a more personal note, I love travelling—though I’m especially drawn to revisiting places I’ve already fallen in love with. I’m a coffee enthusiast who enjoys discovering new and unusual blends. I also enjoy going to the gym (even if it doesn’t always show); working out with my favourite personal trainer genuinely makes me happy.
